The King Of Fighters Allstar Details Revealed: 82 Playable characters at launch!

Published:

SNK and Netmarble held a special event this morning detailing the upcoming the King Of Fighters Allstar Mobile game. The action RPG was first announced over a year ago, and until recently we had no clue what is it all about.

The event featured game Producer Keisuke Shimizu of Netmarble, SNK president Kouchi Sotoyama, and the beloved KOF producer Yasuyuki Oda. Right from the start the game producer made it clear that any fan’s favorite character will be playable in the game. The King Of Fighters Allstar will feature a total of 82 playable characters at launch. If that is not amazing enough, Netmarble will be adding more original characters post launch which will feature in a unique story of the game.

KOF Allstar will offer a slew of different game modes: Story mode, Online Co-op, and PvP. The PVP mode seems very close to what Tencent’s the King Of Fighters Destiny is currently offering. Netmarble made sure to take the opportunity and show the gameplay aspect of the mobile action RPG. You can see the gameplay footage in the video below, which shows some impressive combos and one massive boss battle:

The King Of Fighters XIV producer Yasuyuki Oda took on the stage to praise the netmarblegame and explained how the King Of Fighters Allstar will be a “vital standpoint in the history of KOF”, as it has enough content to cover the entire story of the KOf franchise.

Netmarble has also announced that they will be releasing The King Of Fighters Allstar worldwide, soon after launching the Japanese version during Summer. Which means you will soon be enjoying the beat em up action RPG on your own mobile or tablet game. There was, however, no detail given on the story of the game nor the pay model (F2p or p2p?)

Finally, Netmarble have updated their KOF Allstar website with few character vignettes, showing their moves, DM, SDMs and play style. Thanks to youtuber Atryosakazaki, we have a video compiling all these vignettes. check it out below:
