While we were pretty sure that Samurai Shodown will be published in the west by NIS America, especially seeing how close the company is with SNK, it seems we missed the mark by quite a lot, It was revealed today, thanks to the Australian classification of the game, that Samurai Shodown will be published by Athlon Games.

Now if you do not know who Athlon Games is i do not blame you. the company is known for publishing Free to play PC and console games. The company also happen to be owned by Leyou Thecnologies, which is the parent company of SNK.

Gematsu, who broke the news, contacted Athlon Games who confirmed the matter and also, in case anyone wonders, Samurai Shodown is not a free to play game.

With Samurai Shodown releasing this summer, we expect tons of news and reveals in the very near future.
