Published:

While we, impatiently, wait for SNK to reveal their next game on Monday September 10th, a new rumor is doing the rounds on social media about the identity and minor details of the title.

According to the rumor SNK’s upcomig title is indeed a Samurai shodown Revival. The rumor adds that unlike recent SNK fighters, the graphics engine used by SNK is the famous Unreal Engine.

Unreal Engine has been used in many recent fighting games, the latest being the beautifully looking Dragon Ball Fighter Z. If this rumor is indeed true, this news should make those who were, and still, unhappy with KOFXIV and SNK Heroines Graphics quite happy.

Another details revealed in the information received includes some of the characters that the game will have. The few characters mentioned are Haohmaru, Nakoruru, Rimururu, Charolotte, Ukyo, Genjuro, and Shiki. While most of these are expected, the inclusion of Shiki will be a welcomed addition. Shiki, was a character that made her debut in the Samurai Shodown 64 title, one of the games released on the il fated Neo Geo 64.

Only 5 days remain until we knoe the validity of this rumor, but at this point its easy to say that all evidence points to a new Samurai Shodown Game. What do you think about the rumor? Let us know in the comments section below.
