Hey there guys Nabil here with more and more Samurai shodown goodness. After last night’s event where we learned about the game’s release date, new characters and esports program. We now have more information to share on SNK’s plans for the game. We know that the game’s first DLC pack will contain 4 characters spread over 6 months, with 1 character every month starting with August. Pre ordering the game form amazon japan also gets you an exclusive Genjuro retro 3d skin, reminiscent of his Samsho 64 days.

The identity of these characters is under warp, but if we have to guess, I think it s agiven that Gen-an and rimurur are in those 4, with a guest character, probably from the soul calibur series is taking a third spot. There are a lot of hints that s ould calibur character is coming ot samurai shodown, it first started when Oda san asked soul calibue producer harada san to contact him durint he pax panel, and then few pictures popping showing Harada present in the samsho live reveal event in Japan. But all in all time will tell.

The official samurai shodown website has also gotten a massive update. While the English version has received quite the update with images from the new characters, and details about the game, it’s the Japanese version that has gotten the biggest upgrade, with detailed character bios, images, move lists and even a slightly modified trailer, that you can see here.
