The first chapter of the Samurai shodown 1992 manga, Samurai Spirits: Haohmaru Jigokugyo, has been fully translated to English. The manga serves as a prequel to the video game series and focues on Haohmaru. Other characters who play a large role in the series are Nakoruru, Charlotte, Hanzo, and Ukyo. This series is notable for introducing the idea of a demon sword master who looks like Haohmaru, the same ide later used by SNK for the character Rasetsumaru.
