The King Of Fighters Mobile Destiny has been a huge hit in China since its release. The mobile action bet’em all has, at the time for writing, gathered 2.3 Million downloads in a record 2 months period.

While, technically, the game is still in open beta, SNK and Tencent have released a massive update today that adds tons of new content to the, already rich, title.

First, new playable fighters have now been added to the roster. These fighters are: Robert, Shingo, Yashiro and Shermie. Each of these character come with their beautiful HD 2d model, ala KOFXIII, which makes you wonder if SNK can use these insanely detailed sprites for a 2D fighting game. One can dream.

Second, a new story chapter is also available which tells the story for the Hakkeshu: the 8 elite warriors that serve Orochi.

Last but not least, anew 3 Vs 3 game mode has also been added, where thre players can take on 3 others online. This is similar to the KOFXIV party mode.

The King Of Fighters Destiny has yet to be confirmed for a release outside China, despite the huge success and interest it has gathered. Worldwide fans will be able to soon experience another KOF mobile game, in the form of The King Of Fighters Allstar which will be released in the next few months.
