In what would be the most unexpected announcement to come from SNK in recent history, it was revealed that World Heroes, ADK and SNK’s old fighting game franchise, is getting a manga adaptation.
The manga will be serialized on the monthly Japanese magazine “Heroes”. The first chapter will appear on the February issue of the magazine which will hit the stands on 12/29. expect KOFworld to have a translation as soon as possible after its release.
World Heroes is a fighting game series that was developed by ADK and SNK. The series spawned couple sequels that were released on multiple home consoles, ranging from the Gameboy to the NeoGeo. The story of the World Heroes involves a scientist pulling many great historical figures from multiple timelines and pitting them against each other in a fighting tournament.
With Jeanne D’arc been added to SNK Heroines, and now a new manga series (and the first for the franchise), could SNK be getting ready to revive the World Heroes Fighting game? Time will tell!
