Yesterday’s SNK IPO presentation that took place in Korea seems to be pandora’s box for fans in terms of SNK related news. After we learned that Samurai Shodown is coming in Q2 2019 for all gaming platforms, we now have more juicy info about the game.
According to a Korean gaming website, Gamefocus, whose reporter attended the presentation, a gameplay demonstration of the game was shown, and featured Haohmaru, Nakoruru, Galford and Genjuro. The latter was no shown in the first reveal trailer of the game. Charlotte was also confirmed during the presentation but, apparently, was not shown in action. Another major tidbit, is that SNK is seeking a mature rating for the game, as the Samurai shodown revival will have amputations and gore, something that should make fans of the series happy.
Samurai Shodown, or Samurai Spirits in Japan, will be released on PS4, XboxOne, Nintendo Switch, and Steam, simultaneously during the second quarter of 2019. A mobile version is also being considered for the game in some capacity.
